Admission Process

At Hopewell Kanikwa Nursery & Primary School, we believe every child deserves a nurturing, high-quality education. Our admissions process is simple, inclusive, and designed to ensure your child is placed in the class best suited to their abilities and needs.

  • Steps for Admission:
  • Inquiry & Visit – Parents or guardians are encouraged to visit the school or contact us for details.
  • Application – Obtain and fill out our admission form, available at the school office.
  • Interview & Assessment –
    • Nursery: Informal observation to assess social readiness.
    • Primary: Short oral interview and a simple written test to evaluate literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Placement & Acceptance – Based on the interview results, children are placed in the appropriate class.
  • Documentation & Requirements – Submit required documents, including:
    • Copy of birth certificate
    • Previous school reports (if applicable)
    • Completed admission form
  • Payment of Fees – Pay the applicable school and uniform fees before the first day of attendance.

We welcome children of all religious, cultural, and social backgrounds, ensuring every child has a chance to succeed.

Admission Requirements

To enroll your child at Hopewell, please prepare the following:

  • Completed admission form (available at the school)
  • Photocopy of the child’s birth certificate
  • Previous academic records (for transfers)
  • Four passport-sized photographs of the pupil
  • Parent/guardian contact details
  • Medical information (if any special needs exist)

Age Requirements:

  • Nursery: Ages 3–5 years (Baby, Middle, and Top Classes)
  • Primary: Ages 6–13 years (P.1 – P.7)
💵 Fees Structure

Nursery Section (per term):

  • Baby, Middle, Top Class: UGX 155,000 (includes breakfast)

Primary Section (per term):

  • Primary 1 – 5: UGX 155,000
  • Primary 6: UGX 165,000
  • Primary 7: UGX 180,000

Boarding Fees:

  • P.1 – P.5: UGX 400,000 per term (with meals)
  • P.6 – P.7: UGX 450,000 per term (with meals)

Additional Requirements:

  • Uniform: UGX 35,000
  • Sportswear: UGX 35,000
  • Sweater: UGX 35,000
  • Four rolls of toilet paper per term
  • One ream of paper per term
